Biography

Alexandra Porte is a dedicated educator, legal professional, and nonprofit leader whose work bridges the fields of business, law, and youth development. She serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management and Marketing at Coppin State University, where she teaches courses in Business Law, Nonprofit Management, and Entrepreneurship. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes student-centered learning, mentorship, and connecting classroom instruction to real-world applications, with the goal of equipping students for both academic and professional success.

Alexandra Porte earned her Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies with a minor in Psychology from Stevenson University, followed by a Juris Doctor from Charleston School of Law. She later completed a Master of Business Administration in Nonprofit Management at Wilmington University.

Alongside her academic career, she has extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and youth advocacy. She is the Founder and Executive Director of She is Destined, Inc., a nonprofit organization that empowers young women with life skills, mentorship, and personal development opportunities. She also serves as Chief Operations Officer at Mentoring Mentors Inc., a Baltimore-based organization dedicated to preparing the next generation of leaders through mentorship, enrichment programming, and community partnerships.

Her work has been recognized with honors such as Mentoring Mentors Employee of the Year and the Healing City Baltimore Unsung Hero Award, highlighting her commitment to service and impact in the community. She continues to embody her guiding philosophy: “When you don’t know where to start, just start over.” With her combined expertise in law, business, and program development, she remains committed to inspiring young people to reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to society.
